We can't punish people for saving well and earning more by taking away part or all of what they have been told, and paid money toward, what would be theirs. Defined benifits packages are disappearing fastern the New Union members. There is a social contract between the Federal government and society for this benifit to continue. Abandoment, or severe modification of that contract is a break of faith between the citizens of our national and an idioligically bankrupt Congress and senate. The top one percentage has gained so much under the continuation of the Bush tax cuts that the concept of equity requires they pay more.<br /><br />Modern entitlement worhship is the top 1 percent requiring the rest of us to improve their lifestyle by decreasing our benifits and increasing our tax burden.
